Mellisa knows firsthand that “I do’s” are not just for a wedding day, but a wonderful lifelong commitment 24/7 – and she wants to be a part of it from the beginning.
Not only did Gavin and Mellisa fall more in love on their wedding day. They also fell in love with the idea of a new venture together. One that would create more memorable moments together.
After an unforgettable wedding, the hopeless romantics decided to start a weddings and events company, Moonbar Moments, to help others make their special days even more special.
Born out of their own love story, the couple realised the need for a compassionate events vendor that would listen to the customer and provide personalised styling to reflect their story and personality.
“We got married and realised there was a gap in the market for what we offer… we listen,” Gavin said.
“Our slogan is ‘Creating Memories’ because we love being a part of events for all occasions, to help people celebrate, no matter how big or small.”
Starting the business during a pandemic was challenging, but that hasn’t slowed this loved up couple down.
“We started our first picnic Mother’s Day 2020 and we haven’t looked back! We have been part of surprise proposals, baby showers, weddings, engagement parties, birthdays and so much more,” Melissa said.
To give Moonbar Moments’ vehicles their own personality and embody the love the couple share, Gavin and Melissa fitted the event cars with Personalised Plates.
“Our beloved Viscount Caravan that we refurbished into a vintage Caravan Bar dons the plates 3V3N7S, because that’s what we specialise in!” said Melissa.
“We also have M0M3N7 to encourage people to live in the moment and create memories.”
Melissa and Gavin say that the plates give them pride and remind them of what they have achieved.
“Wow… how far we have come! The plates are on our van we use every weekend and people often comment that they like them”.
“To celebrate our successes, we are also adding IDO247. This is simply because we love being a part of your I do’s 24/7.”
“I love weddings, I love seeing people happy. I have a beautiful marriage and want to see so many happy memories!” Melissa shared.
