Remaking your personalised plates and keeping the same design costs between $51.00 and $122.85 depending on the design, with prestige remakes costing between $120 and $375.85.

Please note Departmental regulations require that your original plates must be returned to a Department of Transport and Main Roads Customer Service Centre or Agency within 14 days of receipt of new plates.

Personalised Business Plates work nearly as hard as you to promote your company. Choose from available combinations of 3 letters and 2 numbers or 3 letters and 3 numbers. You can even feature your logo, company name, web address or slogan – almost anything! It’s like having a 24-hour mobile billboard on the front and back of your vehicle. Plus, they’re GST exempt and there’s no ongoing charges.

Breaking down the cost of Business Plates.

A once-only artwork set-up fee of $330 applies for your plate design. Please note that while we endeavour to work with you to achieve the most suitable design upfront, the artwork set-up fee does allow for a maximum of 5 artwork options.

$485 per set with bulk discounts available for 10 sets or more.

Restyle your existing set of Personalised Plates to Business Plates for $199 per set. If the plate design needs to be created, the once-off artwork fee also applies.

Design Options

Traditional Q Plates were Queensland’s first official registration plates, issued between 1921 and 1955. In 1985 they were reintroduced to the marketplace at 'The Great Queensland Plate Auction', creating great interest in the collector plate market.

The popularity of Q Plates continues today due to their significant history, recognisable design and classic simplicity. They give Queenslanders an opportunity to own a piece of the past.

Q Plates, while not available to be purchased online, are available from PPQ and are priced from $3,000 on application. Please contact the PPQ Team to enquire about Q Plates.

Collector Plates, featuring a special two character format, are also popular and allow customers to display unique and personalised initials. While there are many different ways the two characters can be selected, the strongest motivation often stems from the initials of the driver’s name, or to match the model of their motor vehicle.
